Gentle Giants Rescue and Adoptions - Italian Greyhounds
Hi Burt and Tracy,
I have just visited your site for the first time, and I am so impresed with the incredible work you are doing for these large breeds.
My husband and I hope to have a similar rescue operation ourselves one day.
Currently, we foster for our local Italian Greyhound rescue, Afghan rescue, and Irish Wolfhound rescue.
I've attached a photo of me and "Owen" our Irish Wolfhound, as well as one of some of our fostered Italian Greyhounds.
Keep up the good work, and let us know if there's anything we can do to help you out here in Colorado.
Sincerely,
Chris and Millie Barrett

Three Rescued Italian Greyhounds - Our 'Little Giants'
Beautiful Irish Wolfhound "Owen"
Hi Chris and Millie,
Your dogs look pretty happy there.
I hope you can have a rescue operation too, someday, because treating them like the big and little people they are is the first and best way to start.
And it is clear that you are doing just that!
"Owen" is definitely a 'Large Lap Dog' if ever I have seen one!!
If you look on our 'Irish Wolfhound' page on our website, you will also see "Casey" a baby Irish Wolfhound, who will someday aspire to fill a lap as well as "Owen" can.
The best thing that you can do to help us and all rescues and dogs in need is to always keep a look out for the dogs in need.
If you see any of the breeds that we rescue, everyone on my list including the Italian Greyhounds and Irish Wolfhounds, always try contact rescues in your area first, but also realize that Rescues like ours will take them too - even if they are way out of area.
For the breeds that we rescue, we take them from wherever they are and whether they are perfect or in need of medical attention and operations.
We flew in a Borzoi from Chicago last week, and a mother Great Dane with her two puppies from Minneapolis.
We are currently working on flying in several Danes from Atlanta, including a father and his daughter. The father has Glaucoma (we are thrilled to have a loving home here waiting to adopt both of them together - how lucky for them!).
We also expect to be transporting a Saint Bernard in need here from Georgia as well.
This week, I am making arrangements to bring
an English Mastiff and her two puppies here from Ohio.
None of the breeds that we rescue have to die, if you will just let us know - we'll can arrange to get them here safely!
If the local rescues near you cannot take additional dogs, we would appreciate it you would foster them for us while we are making flight reservations.
And if you would transport them to the airport, we will arrange everything else and bring them here to a wonderful safe new life.
Give all your Gentle Giants and Little Giants the biggest 'Jowel Kisses' and sweetest little 'Snorfully' nose kisses from us and from all the big and little Gentle Giants here waiting to greet them.
Sincerely,
Tracy Ward,
