Dear Burt and Tracy;

We got home about 11:00 p.m. Saturday.

He was a whole lot easier to get out of the truck than it was to get him in.

All the way home my wife and daughter kept saying he "looked like a bear" --- so, that became his name "Bear."

I want to thank you for the opportunity to have him join our family.

My wife, who is not really much of an animal person, is still fawning over him.

I wish there was a way for more people to know of the work you're doing and how you unselfishly spend ALL of your time doing it . . . maybe more like a labor of love, and it shows!

When I figure out how to work this digital camera, my wife has I will send some photos.

Right know the only photo we have of him is one my daughter took of him with her dog (a Chihuahua little mexican dog/corgi mix) standing between his feet.

The difference in size of these two standing together is hilarious.

I want to thank you again for the patience you took guiding me thru the process of finding  just the RIGHT DOG!

We are both happy as can be with him.

No barking, housebroken and walks on the leash without pulling (good thing too as I don't think I would win a pulling contest).

The only time he gets excited is when he sees the leash.

Then, it takes a couple of seconds to calm him down enough so I can get the leash on him.

After that, he walks right along with me.

The whole adoption process from being greeted by "The Herd" to getting our dog home has been one of the most pleasant experiences I have had in quite some time.
